In my English class, we are currently working on
Shakespearean plays with an actor named WT. Basically, he comes twice out the
week to come and help the students have a better understanding of Shakespeare.
Usually, we will sit in a circle, and just express what we think about
Shakespeare and what do we expect out of it. Also, on how we can make the play
better and make it sound more realistic so the audience can feel that it’s
real. We also play this game called “Yosemite” I’m not sure if I spelled that
correctly but that’s the name of the game. It’s basically to warm up our brain
so we can kind of reach out for more Ideas we can come up with to make the play
better. Now, we are going over the plays using our way of speaking because my
classmates are have a hard time trying to understand the emotion that is coming
out so we can make it look more real. We have a school trip on Tuesday actually,
and the best group who performs well are the ones who will act their play in
front of an audience. Hopefully, this exercise of interpreting Shakespeare’s words
would be a good strategy for my classmates, so when the time comes to perform
it will sound better than before.
