Class Related Response "CRR"

In class we are reading a lot of stories that have different topics which connects to the real world. She assigned each group a story and the group had to work together on a power point to express what the story is about and what theme it falls under. My group was assigned the story “A Tiny Feast” and that story was about a kid that was diagnosed with cancer and his parents were competing on who loves him more. The theme my group and I choose for him was Man vs. self because he was fighting a cancer, but it was wrong. The theme was supposed to be death which makes sense, but I feel like the theme we started off at the beginning was more towards the facts of what the boy was going through. His parents are fairies and usually fairies have huge feasts and he didn't want a huge feast because he can’t each as much which is why he wanted a “Tiny Feast.” We had to present this to the entire class and had to make sure our information was accurate because they was taking notes they needed to help them for our essay we have to do. For the essay we have to take two stories that we can expand talking about, and compare both stories and also answering the topic question. I’m thinking about expanding further more on this story because I feel like since I know so much about it I can expand more and answer the topic question with a strong answer and good evidence to back it up.
