"FC" The ending of the school year!

Well FINALLLYYYYYYYYYY!!!!  I honestly thought this would take forever to come which it didn’t. But now since were getting closer to June it is starting to feel like time is going slower. I guess it’s the "senior its." Senior itis is when a student knows there about to graduate so they get extremely lazy, and don’t feel like doing anything. Which is a crazy risk because our teachers are famous for giving out work when the school year is ending. This is so horrible for all of us! Because we really want to just leave and have the last few weeks of school just chilling getting our thoughts together for college but instead give out a great amount of work that can jeopardize our graduation. But anyways, I’ve definitely gotten extra lazy since the school year is ending but I’m making sure I’m getting all of my work done and completed so that I can finally graduate and giving myself the less of a risk of graduating.

Free Choice "CSI"

Today for my blog, I've decided to write about the college I recently got admitted to which is the college of Staten Island. I've been coming back and forth from the city to Staten Island due to the meetings I have to basically get me prepared for the fall semester.  To get there you will need to take the 1 train all the way downtown to the last stop, then transfer to the ferry, and then take a shuttle bus. It sounds like a lot but it’s not. I really enjoy taking the ferry because you have a nice view of the city, statue of liberty, and the water is so relaxing.  Once you get there the bus automatically leaves you in front of the main entrance at campus. My campus is huge its about 204 acres which is also the biggest school in CUNY, so there is a a bus that drives you around campus and takes you to your classes basically, which is a great method for lazy people like myself.  The major that I think I want is Accounting, but I also have a passion for helping people and making them feel better about themselves. So I’m definitely thinking about having Psychology as a minor. I’m still in awe about CSI and I’m really looking forward on moving in and the experiences I will have there as a freshman.

Class Related Response

The last thing we did while having WT help us with the play is practicing the scene for the school trip to the theatre. When we got to the theatre we basically did the same thing that we do in class. Which was the brain exercise to help our thoughts flow clearly before the group that was chosen to go up on stage and act. Once we finished the exercise, the pizza finally came which was very cold by the way, and I ended up having a stomach ache after as well but other than that the dinner was alright. The best part was the cupcakes if you ask me. Anyways it was time for my senior class to go to and sit down to watch the group that picked to act the scene. They all did great, a lot of emotion was added into their words which is what I liked very much because it was more real. I honestly wouldn’t think they were acting because it felt so real. Despite the audience laughing which kind of through them off a little bit overall they still did a good job. In the future, we should do things like this more often to have the kids engaged in Shakespeare’s work and study his way of thinking about gender roles, and what he thinks about women etc…

Class Related Response "CRR" W.T.

In my English class, we are currently working on Shakespearean plays with an actor named WT. Basically, he comes twice out the week to come and help the students have a better understanding of Shakespeare. Usually, we will sit in a circle, and just express what we think about Shakespeare and what do we expect out of it. Also, on how we can make the play better and make it sound more realistic so the audience can feel that it’s real. We also play this game called “Yosemite” I’m not sure if I spelled that correctly but that’s the name of the game. It’s basically to warm up our brain so we can kind of reach out for more Ideas we can come up with to make the play better. Now, we are going over the plays using our way of speaking because my classmates are have a hard time trying to understand the emotion that is coming out so we can make it look more real. We have a school trip on Tuesday actually, and the best group who performs well are the ones who will act their play in front of an audience. Hopefully, this exercise of interpreting Shakespeare’s words would be a good strategy for my classmates, so when the time comes to perform it will sound better than before.

What am I going to do for the next 30-40 years of my life?! (FC)

Lately, I've been doing a lot of thinking especially because it’s my last year in high school, and I'm going away to college in less than 6 months. So it hit me! What does love like to do? What can I see myself doing for the next 30 to 40 years of my life?! It’s pretty exciting because I'm molding myself into a educated adult and preparing myself for the "real world" at the same time it’s so scary because I knew this time will come, but it came faster than I thought. Throughout my entire life I've noticed that numbers and I had a strong relationship. So, I was thinking maybe accounting would be a good idea! As I'm doing my research on this certain career I noticed that everything has to do with taxes and making sure that number match up etc.. This sounds amazing to me but I honestly don't want to grow old doing other peoples taxes. It’s something I like, but I want to do something that I LOVE! So I know even if I have years in doing whatever I'm going to be doing; I won’t get tired of the career I choose to do for the rest of my life.

Passion Blog- Music

Music is my escape. It’s my escape because when I'm feeling really happy I can play a song that can make my mood better than it was before. Or whenever I'm feeling down and I play a song that I like  my mood somehow changes into something better because of how much interest also the amount of entertainment it gives because it stops me from me thinking about what was making me upset in the first place which is why music is my escape. Music really does make my day more productive because I can be really exhausted but I know I have chores to do such as cleaning my room, doing laundry, or even styling my hair for the next day. When I listen to music is like everything I was feeling changes automatically and I get in the mood to do what I had to do which made my day more productive. Sometimes I won’t have anything to do, and by just listening to music I'll think about doing something productive to start my day.
